Pharmacy Manager
– Ambulatory Care Position Description: 

The Pharmacy Manager provides leadership for Pharmacy and Nutrition Services.

In collaboration with the Executive Director of Pharmacy and Nutrition Services, the Senior Manager will plan, manage, and monitor all aspects of the Pharmacy Department’s operations, including staffing, personnel performance, medication inventory, costs and utilization review, patient safety, clinical services, and quality improvement.

The Senior Manager identifies and implements opportunities to improve departmental operations, clinical care, quality and clinical efficiency.

The position designs and directs process improvement activities, EMR optimizations, and projects across the Health System and with external vendors.

The Senior Manager assesses needs of new physicians and groups, and ensures that pharmaceutical and nutrition services are delivered efficiently and effectively.

The Senior Manager covers all departmental daily operations in the Director’s absence.

Pharmacy Manager
– Ambulatory Care
Requirements:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (Pharm.D.) 
  • Masters in Public Health or Health Administration preferred
  • Current California Pharmacist license required
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI) required
  • Completion of postgraduate residency or fellowship training (preferably in ambulatory/primary care)
  • Prefer eight or more years of progressive experience in the delivery of primary care pharmacy management
