Schedule: Full Time Shift : Dayshift Location: Main Hospital The community you’ll be caring for: Clay County has relied on AdventHealth Manchester, formerly Manchester Memorial Hospital, in Kentucky since 1917.

The role you’ll contribute: Prepares and organizes pharmacy medications by name and dosage, as listed on patient orders.

Supports pharmacists and provides distributive pharmacy services.

To provide safe and accurate medication services and to support all those involved in direct patient care.

The Pharmacy Buyer/Pharmacy Technician III performs a wide range of supportive duties to assist the Pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medication so that patients receive consistent care.

Duties include transmitting multiple drug orders, reconciling, and receiving invoices.

In addition, this position is responsible for maintaining inventory system accuracy, data integrity, local level audit controls and inventory levels to prevent product and/or supply stock-outs.

Coordinates pharmaceutical product recalls, all reverse logistics activities and annual inventory processes.

Participates in pharmaceutical sales representative activities within the facility and prepares periodic purchasing reports as directed by department management.

Works only under the supervision of a registered Pharmacist and does not perform duties that can only be legally performed by a registered Pharmacist.

The value you’ll bring to the team: Tech Responsibilities Actively performs all pharmacy technician functions Oversees appropriate utilization of medication automation, technology, and computer systems Accurately oversees the management of medication inventories and the preparation and delivery of patient‐specific medication doses Buyer Responsibilities Orders medications to maintain appropriate Par levels in the Pharmacy Monitors and maintains the manufacture backorders Reports any issues to the clinical manager Completes monthly financial reports utilizing resources from multiple vendors Qualifications The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: Buyer or purchasing experience in a pharmacy or medical related field (Required) Associates degree in related field (Required) Applicable State Pharmacy Technician Registration (RPT) (Required) If applicable to facility Sterile Compounding Certification (Required) Current certification from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or from the Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ICPT) (Required) This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
