Position will start off as remote/work from home and return to office next year (2022)
- PAY RATE: $18.00 to $19.00 per hour (possible increase after 90 days)
- HOURS: Full-time 40 hours per week. Monday – Friday no weekends – 8 hour shift between 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Pharmacy Technician Details
- Primarily telephonic
- A lot of outreach to members to follow up with them on medications to see how they’re doing
- Outreach to support members
- Work alongside with pharmacist
- Under the direction of Pharmacy Technician, track and triage coverage determination requests submitted from providers and determine if a pharmacist review is required.
- Enter and document coverage determination request decision into the PBM system and notify providers and/or members.
- Respond to client inquiries regarding authorization approvals and PBM on-line applications.
- Refer coverage determination requests for specialty drugs to delegated vendor or client for processing.
- Notify physicians, providers and members of coverage determination request decisions.
Job Requirements:
Required:
- Must have both a Current CAState’s Pharmacy Technician license and a Current National Certification with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.
- 2-3+ years of retail, hospital, PBM, or mail order pharmacy experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Software Skills Required: Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite and pharmacy systems
