What’s this role all about? Analyze pharmacy costs of care, trends, and coordinate the development of appropriate use protocols and guidelines. Critically evaluate and interpret data from various sources to provide an accurate and balanced response within the guidelines and regulations of industry-based drug information practice. Oversees the day to day operations of the clinical pharmacists schedules and staffing to ensure efficiency and access are met to meet patient access demands. Assure compliance with Cedars-Sinai Medical Care Foundation pharmacy programs policies and procedures. Provide oversight and guidance in the professional growth and development of the clinical pharmacists through timely and constructive feedback; advance any corrective action to the Manager. Support the manager in the maintenance of clinical pharmacy programs to ensure clinical services meet the requirements and needs of the physicians and patient population.Research: Participates on site initiation visits (SIVs) for new clinical trials. Maintains research drug accountability logs. Mixes chemotherapy blinded study drugs, and research clinical trial drugs as needed. You will assist in dispensing oral research drugs and educates patients regarding trial regimens. Along with the nursing team, monitors serious adverse events (SAEs) of the clinical trial regimens.
