Perioperative Nurse – Operating Room Nurse – (OR RN)

Unit Description: Total # of beds in the unit: 15. Nurse to patient ratios 1 CST and 1 RN per patient. No Ancillary Staff. Patients range in age from Neonates to Geriatrics. Staff works in 8 hour shifts. Unit patient population: Ophthalmology, Head & Neck, Podiatry, Gyn & General Surgery, etc. Special Unit Procedures that could cause ethical issues: D&E, Blood products/transfusions. Documentation System: Peri-Op Record via Health Connect OP Time. Supplemental Staff required to float when necessary. Scrubs can be any color, RN provides their own scrubs
Required Qualifications
BLS
needs to be proficient with neuro, spine and ortho.
scrub and Circulate experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with eye surgery and maxilo facial
Experience w/Orthopedic cases and Neuro Surgery cases
Total Joints, spine, and ENT experience
Cardiac Surgery experience.
