Patient Care Executive – Los Angeles and Orange County

The Patient Care Executive in Business Development is responsible for generating new business by communicating to medical staff and physician partners the high quality of care, ease of use, and the high level of patient centricity within the Company.  This position will work closely with the regional operations management team to identify and visit targeted referral sources.

Responsibilities:

  • Initiate, develop and build strong relationships with current referring physicians and hospitals along with building internal U.S. Renal Care team relationships at all local centers. 
  • Identify, analyze and target the local market opportunities to determine best return on time and resources that will yield the greatest results.
  • Utilize CRM/salesforce tool for targeting purposes and to record activities against targeted existing accounts. 
  • Review referral and admissions volume reports to trend activity in assigned market.   Review no‐go report with director of operations to determine reason why. 
  • Provide feedback on trends and the impact of various initiatives to the operations team on a regular basis. 
  • Collaborates closely among local and corporate departments by maintaining working relationships with personnel in all areas of the company.
  • Utilize strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills in order to interact and form relationships with key partners, both internal and external. 
  • Attend the quarterly physician and center meeting to further enhance knowledge as well as to provide feedback on market and competitive trends observed. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 
  • Identify confidential information and maintain strict confidentiality of information.

  Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communication or other related field required.  Combination of education, specialty certifications and experience in related area will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Two plus (2+) years of experience in healthcare environment; prior dialysis/nephrology experience preferred.  Education or experience in adult education preferred.
  • Registered Nurse, Dietitian or Master’s Social Worker license preferred.
  • Documented history of sales success; experience with base plus commission incentive plan preferred.
  • Current knowledge of provider and payer roles, responsibilities and challenges and an understanding of health care financing, access issues, delivery systems, quality controls, and legislations a plus.
  • Must have intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); proficiency in all USRC applications required within 90 days of hire.
  • Travel within assigned market area is required daily.
