Its team of experts works to create a treatment plan to meet each patient’s specific needs. The center’s outpatient infusion center offers chemotherapy and supportive services, including 18 private rooms for treatment sessions six hours or longer. Summary of Essential Duties: Assist with in-office minor surgical procedures, clinic flow, practice management, and help to facilitate continuity of care. Completion of pertinent nursing assessment Ensure new patient records received and abstracted for physician review. Telephone triage of clinic patients. Needs ranging from results review, pre-and post op concerns Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, pre-and post op teaching, treatment side effects Perform/assist the physician in excisional biopsy /wide excision/ JP drain/wound vacuum care, wound drainage BRCA/Colaris/ Tissue banking/ Genetic Blood/tissue banking in patients with Genetic Tumor Syndromes Educational Requirements: BSN preferred Licenses: OCN Preferred ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Card California RN License BLS Experience: Surgical oncology experience preferred. Physical Demands: Lifting, Standing, walking, sitting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, stooping, balancing, kneeling, crouching, handling, grasping, hearing, talking.
