The Operating Room Nurse Manager will be joining a state-of-the-art, 450+ patient bed, Level I Pediatric Trauma Center that is home to the most advanced inpatient and outpatient medical specialties such as 24/7 emergency care, cardiovascular services, Women and Infant Services, and an impressive array of advanced invasive and non-invasive surgical services. Surgical procedures include orthopedic, ophthalmology, gynecology, urology, podiatry, neurology, spine, ENT, general, and other progressive services.
The Operating Room Nurse Manager will report directly to the Director of Perioperative Services and will be supported by clinical supervisors, charge nurses, and other department staff. This is a large perioperative services department consisting of 15 inpatient ORs, 4 outpatient ORs, and more than 80 full time employees including surgical techs, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, CNORs, and other healthcare professionals. This busy department conducts an average of 16,000 annual cases
Responsibilities as the Operating Room Nurse Manager with this “U.S. Best Managed Hospital” consists of the facilitation of corrective action, patient assessment, resolution of family/visitor issues as well as maintenance of open communication with other department leaders. Prior leadership experience in Peri-operative services along with a BSN, and an MSN will make for quick interviews!
