As a Per-diem Occupational Therapist in the Cedars-Sinai Hand Therapy Clinic, you will primarily complete evaluations, splinting and provide appropriate treatment interventions per policies. Complete required documentation in an accurate and thorough manner within expected timeframes. Utilizes validated and standardized outcome measures to establish goals, demonstrate progress and patient rehabilitation prognosis. Monitors and modifies the progress of patients assigned to assistants. Demonstrates effective communication skills with patients, families, and care team members. The Therapist-Per Diem is considered employed on an at-will basis with no guarantee of scheduled hours. Scheduling is done based on staffing need and availability. The Therapist-Per Diem staff member is expected to be available a minimum of 16 hours per month. Educational Requirements: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program- Minimum Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy- Preferred License/Certification Requirements: Occupational Therapy License in PAMS per California State Requirements American Heart Association BCLS Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience Good knowledge of assessment and intervention techniques in a medical and physical disabilities setting. Able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be competent by virtue of training and/or experience to perform evaluations, design and implement treatment plans and provide education in a manner appropriate to the age of the patient.Cedars-Sinai is an EEO employer.
