Nursing Manager- Venice Family Clinic

Responsibilities

The Nurse Manager is responsible for assisting with clinical management and administrative coordination of Venice Family Clinic.

The position is a combination of clinical (direct care) and administrative responsibilities.

Provides ongoing clinical support and supervision.

Provides supervision, coaching and modeling of effective problem solving, conflict resolution, communication and team building skills and maintains a harmonious and collaborative atmosphere on the unit.

Models compassion, understanding, problem solving and conflict resolution skills in coaching and mentoring staff to assist patients and families needing assistance and maintains good public relations.

Consistently keeps current on clinical, unit, department and medical center changes; shares information and coaches staff members about their responsibility to be well informed.

Qualifications
Graduation from accredited School of Nursing
– Required.
Current, active California Registered Nurse License
– Required.
BSN, or MSN
– Required.
Outpatient and primary nursing skills
– Required.
At least 3+ years of supervisory experience
– Preferred.
3 years of acute care experience as an RN
– Preferred.
Demonstrated experience in the supervision and training of RN’s and Nursing support staff
– Required.
Demonstrated work experience with children and adults
– Required.
Ability to perform historical, physical and behavioral status assessments
– Required.
Ability to work as part of multi-disciplinary team
– Required.
Working knowledge of child abuse reporting laws
– Required.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) oral communication skills
– Preferred.
