Nurse Manager Perioperative Services

A brand-new opportunity for a Nurse Manager Perioperative Services has just become available with an outstanding non-profit hospital in Los Angeles.

This award-winning hospital excels in several services including Total Joint Replacement, Oncology, Wound Care, Heart and Vascular Services, Breast Health and advanced Imaging. The busy Emergency Room sees over 50,000 cases per year and was recently remodeled to feature an expanded triage area, additional monitored beds, and more comfortable waiting areas.

Reporting to the Nurse Director Perioperative Services, the Nurse Manager Operating Room will lead a tight-knit team of OR Assistant Nurse Manager, Charge Nurses and Staff RNs. The Nurse Manager Surgical Services will oversee the Operating Room, PACU, Endoscopy, Same-Day Outpatient Services, Sterile Processing, and Anesthesia departments. 

The OR Manager will provide collaborative leadership for the process of planning, directing, integrating and coordinating activities to achieve departmental objectives and maintain high quality services. The Nurse Manager of Surgery will be responsible for personnel management, budget planning and monitoring, scheduling, systems improvement, compliance with regulatory requirements and strategic planning. 

The ideal Surgical Services Nurse Manager will have previous management or supervisory experience, in addition to experience as an Operating Room Nurse. The Perioperative Services Nursing Manager will prepare annual budgets, develop spreadsheets, monitor and analyze financial information and implement operational changes to meet budget targets.  Though the Medical Center is one of the busiest in the region, the Nurse Manager will be required to assist in growing the service line and creating and maintaining physician relations.
