The Nurse Coordinator Labor and Delivery will report directly to the Manager of Labor and Delivery. Supported by several tenured nurses and their Manager, this person will lead a fantastic team and busy department with over 50 FTEs and seeing over 700 births per year. The staff here is passionate about the care they provide and are a happy and cohesive team, eagerly looking to welcome in a new coordinator.  

 

The Nurse Coordinator Labor and Delivery will be in charge of overseeing that care provided by nurses is efficient and thorough during their shift.  This involves keeping staff up to date with current best practices and making sure they are following guidelines set by the hospital. In addition, the position requires collaboration with the Labor and Delivery Manager and other service line coordinators to achieve the highest level of operational and clinical efficiency that aligns with the hospital’s standards and values. The Nurse Coordinator Labor and Delivery will also have opportunities to develop their staff through education and quality improvement initiatives, as well as impacting the happiest day of a new parent’s life.
