Responsibilities
Venice Family Clinic is a community health center whose mission is To provide quality primary health care to people in need. Venice Family Clinic cares for over 27,000 low-income patients in over 120,000 visits annually who might otherwise go without critically needed health care services.
Venice Family Clinic has fourteen locations with over 420 staff, 1,300 volunteers, and a budget of $70 million.
We provide high quality, comprehensive primary and specialty health care, dental, mental health, substance use treatment and child development services to underserved individuals and families on the Westside of Los Angeles.
Responsible for operating the Mobile Clinic Unit (MCU) to various homeless clinic locations, community events, and performing a variety of clerical duties as assigned at clinic sites during clinic hours.
The operator will drive a thirty-eight foot MCU throughout Los Angeles, set-up, breakdown, maintain and secure during operations.
Other responsibilities include basic patient intake and registration.
Qualifications
Must possess a valid California Drivers License for the class of vehicle to be operated (class B with passenger and airbrake endorsements).
Must have no license restrictions other than for corrective lenses
– Required.
Minimum of one (1) year experience driving passenger van, tractor-trailer, bus, or similar vehicle.
Basic knowledge of motor vehicle repair and maintenance

Ability to participate in the UCLA DMV Pull Notice system
– Required.
Ability to work effectively with clients and staff of various educational, economical, social and cultural backgrounds
– Required.
Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and coordinate repair services
– Preferred.
Ability to perform basic record keeping duties
– Preferred
Ability to communicate in Spanish and English
– Preferred
General knowledge of medical setting and medical terminology
– Required.
Ability to travel between clinic sites and have a valid drivers license
– Required.
Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry loads up to 30-50lbs
– Required.
Ability to walk for prolonged periods of time
– Required.
Knowledge of HIPAA laws and policy
– Required.
General knowledge of fax, copier, and office computer use
– Required.
