Strengthens the trauma informed care framework.Increase the quality of mental health and wellness services by assessing child mental health concerns, determining appropriate mental health care and follow-up, and provide mental health support for families and staff. Work in conjunction with program content areas as needed to ensure a holistic approach.Implements evidence-based practices, curricula, etc; provides oversight and supervision of clinical staff, including that required by the California Board of Behavioral Services (BBS) for supervision of registered ACSW and AMFT. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises the designated licensed and/or registered therapists, social workers and other clinical staff Implements and communicates clinical employee performance standards in accordance with the organization policy and procedures and DMC-ODS Waiver, Title XXII and CARF standards Ensures that the program approach is trauma-informed and strength-based by monitoring and participating in activities and by maintaining emotional and physical safety of the staff and clients. Evaluates the quality of services provided compared to clinical best practice guidelines. Processes, analyzes and reviews critical Incidents involving program participants. Plans and provides training on relevant topics to clinicians, consumers and organization staff. Leads or participates in workgroups to improve clinical services or processes Schedules and participate in supervision meetings with assigned clinical staff to discuss and review assessments and individualized treatment plans and pressing concerns which can include workplace safety suggestions Responsible for conducting regular chart reviews that clinical staff completes in a timely and accurate manner client notes, charts, reports, and other documentation related to the progress of clients in the program in accordance with Title XXII and CARF standards. Maintains the dignity and personal rights of all clients as highlighted by deploying clear and skilled crisis communication, evasion techniques when participants display hostile or volatile behaviors. Develops positive workplace relationships with staff and peers by offering appropriate support while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Adheres to the professional ethics and conduct of conduct standards as established by professional licensure, the policies of the organization, legal, funding and regulatory requirements. Monitors all required training sessions of clinical staff, in accordance with the organization, state licensing, and regulatory requirements. Maintains personal and staff licensure, registration, or certification as requiredQualificationsREQUIREMENTS: Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance, background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verificationsEDUCATION: MFT/MSW/PCC degree or related field from an accredited universityEXPERIENCE: 3 years of experience working with children and families in a clinical settingKNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of psychosocial treatment modalities, especially cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy skills training (DBT), motivational interviewing (MI), relapse prevention (RP), Seeking Safety Strong knowledge of and ability to work with issues related to child development, mental health diagnosis, and history of trauma Head Start performance standards. State licensing requirements.TECHNOLOGY SKILLS: Microsoft operating system navigation, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, web-based applications Knowledge of social services database operationsSKILLS AND ABILITIES: Experience with clinical case management skills in social services delivery.
