A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION PROVIDING MENTAL HEALTH SOLUTIONS
- Provides recovery-based services, including assessment, case management, mental health services, crisis intervention, group psychoeducation and skills training to clients served by the program. Serves as Single Fixed Point of responsibility (SFPR) for designated clients, and interfaces with treatment team members, including supervisor, case managers, peer counselors, volunteers, and psychiatric consultants to provide coordinated care that is consistent with the program philosophy. Completes all DMH County of Los Angeles required paperwork, including Adult Full Assessments, other required assessments, mental health recovery surveys and instruments used in the program, consumer surveys, and meets documentation and productivity requirements. Is responsible to assist the Program Coordinator or Program Manager in ensuring quality of care within MHSA Wellness Center program as well as developing vital collaborative relationships with other programs within the Center.
- Under direction of the Program Manager, provides recovery-based services, including assessment, case management, mental health services, crisis intervention, group psychoeducation and skills training, to clients served by the program.
- Serves as Single Fixed Point of responsibility (SFPR) for designated clients, including those assigned to BA – level staff as assigned.
- Interfaces with treatment team members, including supervisor, case managers, peer counselors, volunteers, and psychiatric consultants in a helpful and supportive manner to provide coordinated care that is consistent with the program philosophy or mental health recovery.
- Completes all Charting and Documentation requirements as required in order to remain complaint with Medi-Cal reimbursement guidelines. This includes completing all assigned Adult Full Assessments, Client Care Coordination Plans, Intake Documents, Discharge Paperwork and daily progress notes and Units of Service Logs within the specified timeframes.
- Learn and utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) system (BEHRI) used by the center to document. Maintain EHR per Center and DMH standards.
- Participate in weekly rotation of Officer of the Day schedule and new client intake schedule.
- Attends weekly staff meetings and case conferences to serve as a team member in the clinical coordination of services. Also, attends to and problem solves communication of business and clinical concerns among all program staff to meet program goals.
- Participates in the monthly Quality Assurance Chart Review with program charts, and helps the Program Coordinator to make any corrections that are required to remain in compliance.
- Responsible to meet regularly with Program Manager of Victory Wellness Center to inform, review, and plan resolution of client and program needs; administrative and facility issues; unusual incidents; client complaints; program evaluation and outcomes measures.
- Attend trainings related to discipline and scope of practice to meet program needs in order to provide competent care to program consumers and for professional development.
- Develops positive collaborative relationships with other programs within the Center and external referral and program resources.
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by the Program Manager of the Victory Wellness Center.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Possess a Master’s Degree in the field of Psychology or Social Work and holds a registered intern/Associate status toward licensure.
EXPERIENCE: Two years experience in a responsible clinical position within a multi-disciplinary mental health treatment setting.
LICENSING: Intern/Associate (license-waivered) status.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must act in accordance with all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996 standards and related state laws confidentiality requirements. Must successfully complete the Center’s HIPAA training, pass the HIPAA test and receive the Certificate of Completion.
