This makes us different.

The MA should be able to observe patient-physician interactions and formulate the chief complaint, history of present illness, exam, assessment, and treatment plan.

This information is entered into the electronic health records, eClinical Works (eCW) and is reviewed by the clinician.

This role is not a direct patient care role, however it provides the MA/Scribe the opportunity to understand the patient care process and gain insight on the daily routine of a physician.

The goal of the MA/Scribe is to allow the physician to focus on their time with their patient and less time on the documentation process.
