Medical Education Operations Lead & Associate Residency Coordinator

Responsibilities

Under the general supervision of the Director of MedicalEducation, you will support all trainees within theDepartment of Pediatrics as part of the centralized Office of MedicalEducation. In this role, you will be the lead for operations of the centralized MedEd office and will serve as a liaison for any personnel or HR needs oftrainees. You will have specific responsibility for compliance with anyrules/regulations governing training experiences within the Department ofPediatrics.  Otherspecial projects may be assigned by the Director for Medical Education asneeded.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Two or more years of medical education and/or student affairs experience.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, trainees, faculty, and various levels of leadership.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both oral and written forms.
  • Ability to analyze data and to display data using tables, charts, and graphs.
  • Computer skills; including use of Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to use specialized educational software to record PowerPoint presentations with audio and complete the video processing of the lectures.
  • Ability to maintain organized records with both paper and electronic files.
  • Ability to manage and monitor online applications system such as MedHub, WebADS, ERAS, PDWS, and NRMP.
  • Skill to create print material such as flyers, brochures, and handouts to be viewed by faculty, trainees, community physicians, and the general public with correct grammar and accuracy.
  • California Public Notary or willing to take classes to become certified as a California Public Notary
  • Ability to work occasional weekend days and evenings.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of university policies and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of University systems such as BruinBuy and Travel Express.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
