The Medical Billing Manager will directly supervise a team of medical billing assistants.
Job duties include: Overseeing the daily operations of the billing team to ensure all deadlines and quality measures are met.
Training the medical billing staff on how to bill properly and how to effectively use the billing system.
Working escalated denials and ensuring appropriate submission and tracking of appeals.
Address escalated issues from providers.
Communication and consultations with providers.
Setup/Maintain billing database settings and libraries.
Motivating the billing team and maintaining a positive work culture.
Manage onboarding of new customers.
Routine internal quality control audits.
Processing of ERA Enrollments.
Create and maintain documentation of department procedures and processes.
Development and maintenance of staff training procedures and processes.
Interviewing and training of new hires.
To be considered, candidates must demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills in additional to at least 5 years of medical billing experience (preferably with various types of providers).
