Medical Collector
Description
The Medical Collector performs a variety of clerical duties related to contacting payor sources for follow-up and disposition of accounts. Reviews claims for completeness of information and required documents; checks billings information and charges for correctness; processes billing as necessary to include pertinent information, adjustments, late charges, and other related data.
Follows up on outstanding claims
Works authorizations
Navigates payor portals
Perform follow-up calls and written correspondence to patients and payors as needed.
Provides project-based assistance as needed
Requirements High school graduate or equivalent
Minimum two (2) years of physician medical collections experience required
Medi-Cal billing/Collections experience highly preferred
Self-Pay Collections, customer service experience preferred
Knowledge of CCS insurance payor highly preferred
High School Diploma or GED required
