Medical Billing Analyst Preceptor, Anthem/Liability/Workers Comp

Job SummaryProvides general support for the Revenue Cycle team in a preceptor role.

Coordinates orientation activities to ensure all new hires complete onboarding plan, including working with Education Team to ensure new hires successfully complete orientation within a 90-day timeframe.

Communicates new hires’ progress with leadership.

Utilizes project management skills to outline training programs for new hires.

Provides continuous educational support and remedial training as needed.

The majority of time will be spent in a preceptor/training role.

Other responsibilities include:
– Preceptor during new hire onboarding period.
– Coordinates new hire activities to ensure successful completion of competencies.
– Performs internal staff quality, productivity, and production audits providing feedback, instruction, and remediation training.
– Maintains staff’s training documentation including remediation training provided to staff.
– Reviews and maintains current policy and procedures.
– Provide trending analysis of at-risk accounts to leadership to drive better performance in all areas of the revenue cycle.
– Ability to run analytical reports to identify staff’s job performance and independently provide feedback to staff to improve performance with clear expectations.

– Completes complex projects and assignments to drive positive outcomes with high-level knowledge of payer requirements, claims processing, and reimbursement.
– Minimal supervision is required for this role.Shift Details Required: Monday

– 4:30pm / Overtime as neededMinimum QualificationsEducation: High School graduate required (or equivalent); some collegeeducation preferred.Experience: 3-5 years of experience in related field.

Epic experience or equivalent software experience.

Prior education and training experience preferred.Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Proficient in approved application/software required within 6-12 months of position start date.Other Minimum Qualifications: Effective communication, analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills required.

Excellent interpersonal skills required.

Requires excellent hearing, clear/concise speech, excellent finger dexterity to operate computer terminal/keyboarding as well as use of a calculator.

Proficient Microsoft Office Suite skills.
