We are currently looking for a professional, experienced and detail oriented Biller / Coder.
The Biller / Coder will process coding and pricing of daily batches using ICD-9, HCPCS, and CPT codes.
Responsibilities: Medical Biller / Coder Post daily encounter batches to the billing systemBalance daily charges, adjustments, and paymentsTrack, update, and file patient insurance informationProduce required posting shift reportsAssist in the preparation of private and industrial account statementsMaintain current, complete, and accurate patient and procedure files in billing systemInvestigate and re-submit denials from insurance companiesCommunicate with patients, coworkers, providers, and third party representatives in a professional mannerResponds to questions regarding patient account balancesDaily interaction/communication with the Billing Supervisor to prioritize the work flowOther duties as assigned Qualifications: Medical Biller / Coder 2 years coding experienceCertified Coder (AHIMA, AAPC) requiredAbility to meet defined performance and production goalsExcellent verbal and written communication skills; proper grammarExcellent organizational skillsProfessional appearance and demeanor are requiredAbility to assess strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problemsTwo years prior medical billing experiencePrior month-end processing experienceProfessional demeanor and appearance is requiredBilingual (English/Spanish) is a plusThe COVID-19 vaccination is/may be a condition of employment.
Education High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelors Degree preferredEducation in a related field preferred
