Dermatology and Mohs Surgery experience are preferred.Certified Medical AssistantPromote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance the quality of service and care offered to patients and for the respective provider(s)Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser proceduresAssures Ambulatory Surgery Center clinical policies and procedures are followed.Assist physician in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization, and procedures within established guidelinesUnderstand the provider to patient flow and anticipate the provider’s next steps to the best of their abilityPrep rooms before and after patients, including checking all equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure all is in proper working orderTracks and informs the patient of laboratory test results and any follow up as directed by the physicianProvide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as neededKnowledge in OSHA and HIPAA compliancePerform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requestedRequired qualifications for this position include:Prior experience working in a dermatology Mohs surgery preferredCertified Medical Assistant: 1 year requiredExperience using EMR software and patient scheduling systemsMust be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, and OutlookStrong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsExcellent patient relations and customer services skillsGreat AttitudeRequired Licenses/Certifications/Registrations:High School graduate or GEDSuccessful completion of a Washington State recognized medical assistant training programCurrent Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)Basic Life Support (BLS)-Healthcare Provider (must be AHA accredited)Job Location:Travel will be required between our Spokane Valley and Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho locations.Job Type: Full-time
