OverviewPosition Summary: The Medical Assistant performs a variety of patient care and clerical activities to assist physicians, nursing and clerical personnel. Demonstrates commitment to a patient and family focused model of care. Pediatric Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics offers comprehensive treatment of congenital, inherited and acquired disorders of the lungs and respiratory system.Minimum Qualifications: 1+ year experience in pediatrics preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required. Worked in Ambulatory and Inpatient Setting highly preferred. Education/Licensure/Certifications: Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program required. California Medical Assistant certification preferred. American Heart Association CPR/BLS required.
