OverviewThis position is responsible for the overall coordination of business, operational, compliance, and clinical dental activities at one or more of the AltaMed dental locations or outreach units. Works with the clinical dyad partner/Site Dental Director to ensure effective and efficient workflow and operations at the dental site level. Collaborates with the Clinic Administrator, Site Medical Director, corporate support departments, and corporate dental leaders to drive performance and outcomes of organization-wide strategic goals under the Quality, Service, Finance and People categories. Measures performance and progress against goals, identifies trends, and takes action steps to drive performance.ResponsibilitiesManages dental staff and/or back office lead (if applicable). Builds effective teams through education, training, development, and mentoring of staff.Oversees daily operations including front office workflows and scheduling of patients to improve overall access to care and minimize wait times.In collaboration with the clinical dyad partner/Site Dental Director responsible for performance, implementation and evaluation of performance improvement initiatives aligned with organization-wide strategic goals (Quality, Service, Finance, and People).Maintains and monitors compliance with all grant requirements (if applicable), jurisdictional licensing and regulatory agencies as demonstrated by audit scores (internal and external).Meets/exceeds goals and objective of the strategic plan for the dental department. Participates in site-level strategic plan development and ensures communication and expectation setting to staff.Makes data driven decisions for process improvement.Prepares operating budgets, working with all relevant departments and contractors to identify cost and revenue projections.Primary point of contact for community partners and lead for initiation and completion of memorandums of understanding (MOUs), business associate agreements (BAAs), and any other service deliver agreement (if applicable).Serves as the administrative liaison for all corporate departments who collaborate with the site/outreach unit such as Legal, Purchasing, Facilities, PFS, Communications, etc.Responsible for timely and accurate submission of all reporting to functional/support departments and corporate dental leadership.Supports service integration programs such as with medical, women’s and behavioral health departments as evidenced by integration reporting data.Ensure and model excellent customer service at all times to internal and external customers.Provides leadership, direction, and coordination of daily clinic operations, including but not limited to: daily cash deposit, supply ordering and invoice payments, compliance with HIPAA standards, coordinating staff and provider schedules, hiring and onboarding new staff, etc.Attend meetings, trainings, and/or seminars as it pertains to department, clinic, and/or program goals and objectives.Perform all other related duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or Business Administration preferred. Minimum 4 years of experience in a healthcare setting with leadership experience required. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
