LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse)

Job Description Salary: $30 Crosspointe Recovery is a 6-bed detox and residential treatment facility seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) The LVN is responsible for the proper supervision of detoxing and residential clients pursuant to independent medical physician’s orders as well as overseeing self-medication procedures for all residents. We are seeking a qualified candidate who displays professionalism, practices ethical principles, is detail-oriented and reliable. We are seeking a compassionate and caring LVN who is a team player. Duties & Responsibilities Direct resident care and assessment; including the reporting of observed changes in mental status and/or physical condition, response to emergencies, and reporting of any safety risks to clients. Monitors residents during the detoxification phase, including their progress and willingness to participate in behavioral detox activities. Monitors residents during residential level of care. Provides in-service training to resident technician staff on medication, documentation and mentoring of vital signs. Availability and timeliness in terms of 24 hr. remote coverage for consultation and emergencies. Dispenses medications, documents daily nurse notes per client, conducts observations, completes timely withdrawal scale assessments and daily reviews of other staff members medication logs as well as doing a daily controlled substance shift change. Other tasks including conducting UA drug screen collection, facilitating medical aspect groups, transporting clients to appointments, completing new client admission/intake paperwork, completing discharge paperwork, ordering prescription medications (when Doctor is unable to input the medication) and over the counter medications, scanning medication receipts and controlled substance sheets, writing daily shift reports, monitoring client phone calls (when necessary), participating in online trainings, and other tasks as assigned by Program Director.
