- Recuperative Care Location: Los Angeles, CA Shifts: Monday
- Friday & every other weekend 7 am to 7 pm (3 Shifts per week) Pay Rate: $29.90 Make a difference in your community! The Licensed Vocational Nurse -LVN performs routine patient care procedures, technical and supportive functions in the recuperative care setting.
- The LVN performs routine patient care functions as prescribed by established policies and procedures within defined scope of education, training and responsibilities.
- The LVN uses and practices “basic assessment” (e.g. data collection) and documents data in accordance with the policies and procedures of the standards of LVN practice.
- Contribute to evaluation of the patient’s individualized interventions related to the care plan, treatment plan and provide information to other LVNs at change of shift, the nurse manager and physicians.
- The LVN attends case conferences and contribute information to help identify progress toward patient/client discharge * use and reinforce proper body mechanics and appropriate personal protection equipment.
- Recognize the need for emergency care; initiate appropriate procedures within the scope of practice and alerts the Nurse Manager and physician in a timely and manner. Requirements:
- Current and valid California LVN License.
- Current BLS card from the American Heart Association.
- At least one (1) year experience in an ambulatory care setting.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Experience in working with clients and staff from diverse socio-economic, ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
- Current and valid California Driver’s License with current car insurance. Preferred but not required:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
