AlliedUP Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse to fill an opening with a Wellness Center located in Los Angeles, CA. Candidates should have at least 2-year LVN work experience in a medical office.
Requirements of the Licensed Vocational Nurse
- Current California LVN License
- Current BLS Certificate
- Nursing: 1-2 years (Required)
- Must have Full-Time availability.
- At least (2) years of experience in medical office.
- Experience starting IV’s.
- Preferred knowledge and experience prepping and assisting with procedures.
Hourly Pay Rate: $ 36.00 – 39.00
Schedule: Monday – Friday 1000 – 1700 (35 hours total per week)
Duration: 3 – 6-month contract
Responsibilities of the Licensed Vocational Nurse
- Licensed Vocational Nurse provides direct and indirect patient care services requiring technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care, and meets the communication needs of the patient and family;
- Reporting to the Senior Director, the LVN is responsible for coordinating and arranging all medical services
- Arranges and assists in the provision of on-site medical services conducted by the consulting physician.
- Arranges off-site medical services as needed.
- Prepares and maintains all medical records.
- Responsible for overseeing and the implementing self-administration of medication.
- Provides client/patient care in accordance with program and individual treatment plans, which includes: Checks vitals and orders lab work for patients. Works with pharmacies to ensure prescriptions are filled. Monitors and reports the behaviors of clients/patients. Ensures the safety of program participants
- Maintains overall confidentiality records.
- Documents client contact in Electronic Health Records.
- Schedules visits with medical doctor/prescriber.
- Other duties as assigned
Duration: 8 weeks assignment (with possible extension)
Shift Needed: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Sunday-Saturday). Weekend availability required, days are variable
Qualifications
Current and CA valid license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
Current BLS (American Heart Association)
One year experience in an acute care hospital or in a long-term care/subacute setting, preferred.
