Take Root Therapy is an LGBTQIA+ affirming, culturally-sensitive, group psychotherapy practice in Atwater Village/Los Feliz. Our guiding principles are curiosity, compassion, and living with intention. We work with adults, couples, and adolescents to provide high-quality, personalized therapy services.
We are currently seeking an experienced, licensed therapist who is warm and effective to join our team. Our therapists serve both individuals and couples as W-2 employees.

Requirements:
-Must be a master’s level therapist (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC) who is licensed in California and resides in Los Angeles.
-LGBTQ+ affirming with experience working within the LGBTQIA+ community.
-Able to commit to providing at least 24 sessions per week.
-Qualified to work with both individuals and couples.
-Committed to seeing private-practice clients exclusively at Take Root Therapy.
In addition to being a skilled clinician, our ideal candidate will also be someone who takes pride in their genuine curiosity about other people, their empathetic nature, and their ability to put folks at ease. We also strive to hire clinicians who are passionate about doing “the work” themselves, whose desire to help others ultimately stems from a place of knowing what it feels like to need help. Additionally, we value a warm, client-centered, psychodynamic approach. We believe each client is the expert of their own experience; our hope is to come alongside each client and provide support and suggestions as they navigate that path.
Compensation and benefits:
*Most of the hours you work will be compensated at the rate of $80/hour (Licensed Therapist) to start, with opportunities for increases at 6 months and 1 year based on performance. This is based on a base pay + bonus structure, as broken down below:
*For all hours worked, clinical and otherwise, you will be compensated at the rate of $20/hour. You will be paid this rate for mandatory meetings, trainings, clinical work, etc.
*For every client you see, you will receive a bonus of $60 per session (with possibility of increase after 6 months and again after one year)
*Full-time employees have the option to enroll in employer-sponsored, full health benefits after 60 days of full-time work.
*Employees have the option to enroll in employer-sponsored 401k with matching.
*Other benefits – You will be eligible for paid time off (to be used as either sick or vacation time) after 90 days, accrued at the rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked. You will also be provided with workers’ compensation insurance. Based on tenure and performance, you may be eligible for increased paid time off, CEU reimbursement, and coverage of license renewal fee.
Details:
– Our therapists typically work four consecutive days, seeing 6 clients per day. (Ex. Working from 3-9:30PM on Wednesdays, 3-9:30PM on Thursdays, 9AM-4:30PM on Fridays, and 9AM-4:30PM on Saturdays)
– Therapist will attend mandatory team meetings on the last Friday of the month from 9am-11am.
