Licensed Practical Nurse

This is a full-time LVN position at our adult programs located in the Los Angeles area. The schedule for this role is Monday – Friday 7:30 AM-4:00 PM.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides basic nursing care to clients and provides aid, supervision, and protective oversight of clients during assigned shifts.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Upholds and maintains the Company, mission, and values (called the Lightfully “Shining Commitments”).
  • Supports each client’s physical and psychological safety.
  • Completes accurate and timely documentation of client behavior and presentation and ensures that documentation accurately reflects all changes in client’s condition.
  • Transports clients to outside doctor’s appointments when needed.
  • Provides one-on-one assistance to clients in crisis as directed by the nurse or clinical team and the client’s plan of care.
  • Coordinates medical care for clients (including scheduling with the onsite psychiatrist and outside appointments).
  • Works closely with the site-level psychiatrist to assist in medication management for clients.
  • Performs and records basic biometrics for clients (e.g., blood pressure).
  • Oversees client self-administration of medication.
  • Performs weekly nursing assessment.
  • Upholds client confidentiality and maintains professional boundaries, demeanor, dress and interaction with clients, family members, visitors, and coworkers.
  • Works closely with the Program Manager and Compliance Director to ensure an environment of safety.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.

Specific Skills/Competencies:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

General Skills and Requirements:

  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to work for prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Experience working with adult populations.
  • Complete First Aid Training (First Aid Certificate).
  • Complete required health screening, TB clearance, Criminal Record Clearance.

Qualifications:

  • Current and unrestricted Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) licensure in the state of California.
  • Mental Health Experience; preferred.

The pay range for this role is: $33.00 – $40.00
