This is a full-time LVN position at our adult programs located in the Los Angeles area. The schedule for this role is Monday – Friday 7:30 AM-4:00 PM.
Job Summary:
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides basic nursing care to clients and provides aid, supervision, and protective oversight of clients during assigned shifts.
Major Responsibilities:
- Upholds and maintains the Company, mission, and values (called the Lightfully “Shining Commitments”).
- Supports each client’s physical and psychological safety.
- Completes accurate and timely documentation of client behavior and presentation and ensures that documentation accurately reflects all changes in client’s condition.
- Transports clients to outside doctor’s appointments when needed.
- Provides one-on-one assistance to clients in crisis as directed by the nurse or clinical team and the client’s plan of care.
- Coordinates medical care for clients (including scheduling with the onsite psychiatrist and outside appointments).
- Works closely with the site-level psychiatrist to assist in medication management for clients.
- Performs and records basic biometrics for clients (e.g., blood pressure).
- Oversees client self-administration of medication.
- Performs weekly nursing assessment.
- Upholds client confidentiality and maintains professional boundaries, demeanor, dress and interaction with clients, family members, visitors, and coworkers.
- Works closely with the Program Manager and Compliance Director to ensure an environment of safety.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
Specific Skills/Competencies:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
General Skills and Requirements:
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Able to work for prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Experience working with adult populations.
- Complete First Aid Training (First Aid Certificate).
- Complete required health screening, TB clearance, Criminal Record Clearance.
Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) licensure in the state of California.
- Mental Health Experience; preferred.
The pay range for this role is: $33.00 – $40.00
