– Salary: $42/hour for 32 hrs per week (Consultant)Essential Functions of Job (reason job exists):Follow facility policy as it relates to patient care, treatment, intervention, and documentationProvides CD education/services specific to the special needs of residentsProvides CD education/services specific to the special needs of patients contracted by Department of State Hospitals (DSH)Ensures that the CD program meets all relevant CONREP/MIO program requirements and standardsConducts program compliance with governing local, state, and federal codes and regulations, as well as corporate policies and procedures Job Qualification: MA in Social Work from an accredited school or equivalent degreeLicensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences or equivalent agency (LCSW)Experience with a mentally ill population; +3 yrs preferredWork with severe mental illness, co-occurring disorders and forensic populations preferredSupervisory experience preferredBilingual ability preferredJob Responsibilities:Plan and oversee Social Work intern program initiatives in collaboration with the Administrator, Program Director and Clinical DirectorLead and train social work interns, including supervision hours, documentation/filing, and on-site supportConduct psychosocial evaluations as needed for patient assessmentProvide work therapy and other community-skills training for clientsProvide informal guidance to Case Managers/Social work designees (filing for benefits, voting, HIPAA, etc)Conduct staff in-service trainings pertaining to field and expertise (e.g., HIPAA)Communicate with patients’ family members, conservators, and ancillary services when appropriateProvide diverse and appropriate Social Work educational and support experiences to patientsAttend and participate in Forensic Unit staff meetings, designated committee meetings, and patient care plan conferencesAttend and participate in Patient Status meetingsAttend and participate in New Patient intakesAttend all mandatory staff meetingsRemain current on profession through attendance at continuing education programs and mental health conferencesCommunicate to forensic patients, forensic staff members and the outside community the purposes and achievements of the forensic programCoordinate social services goals and after-care planning with treatment teamAttend and participate in forensic multi-disciplinary quarterly staffing meetings
