Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide crisis intervention to youth and families.
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling.
• Provide progress reports to referral sources and the courts as required.
Conduct needs assessment of referred clients.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all participant contacts and progress.
• Prepare and submit all required reports to the center and funding sources in a timely manner.
• The Therapist will conduct an initial assessment and determine eligibility for the program based on needs.
• The Therapist and client will create an individual treatment plan
• The Therapist will meet with client/s for a maximum of 50 minutes each session once a week. Counselor and client will determine the duration of the treatment based on need.
• The Therapist will create a physical file for each client; write progress notes and reports, and enter the client/s information into a CRM or BitFocus system.
• The Therapist will meet monthly one-on-one with the supervisor to review files and paperwork.
• The position will require some evening and Saturday schedules
Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Social Work ( LCSW)
• Bilingual in English/Spanish (spoken and written) required
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a family service agency working with “at-risk” families
• Ability to work with people from diverse ethnic groups and socioeconomic levels.
• Good communication skills (oral, and written)
• Computer Literate
• Ability to work weekends and late evenings if required
• Must have transportation valid DL and Insurance
