Job DescriptionOur Primary Therapists carry a caseload and provide clinical treatment in the form of individual, family and group counseling.
As a member of the treatment team, you will meet weekly in a collaborative fashion with the rest of the team to discuss treatment plans.The Primary Therapist attends all treatment planning meetings, all treatment review and goals setting groups, in-service training’s, and general staff meetings and clinical retreatsInterfacing with insurance companies, providing appropriate clinical information to obtain initial certification and continuing stay certification as requiredOn-call responsibility with this position where the clinician is on call every 3 or 4 weeks to the facility to support with any HLOC transfers, AWOL, suicidal ideation and self-harm issues that may occur in the evenings and on weekends.Completing the Biopsychosocial assessment within one day of admissionMeeting with clients within twenty-four hours of admission to establish therapeutic rapportMeeting with each client in individual sessions as clinically indicated, providing psychotherapeutic interventions to thoroughly educate each client to the CTP and its intent, target dates, and revisionsIdentifying weekly treatment goals and writing contracts specific to individual client needsWriting and facilitating the Discharge SummaryIndividual psychotherapy sessions, 3 times weekly for each clientConjoint family psychotherapy sessions at least once per weekFacilitating Multifamily and Alumni groupsCreating a written plan for continuing care (DC plan) and discharge summaryThe Lead Therapist “oversees” the daily treatment experience of each of his/her clientsThis is afull-timesalaried position.
Sunday-Thursday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
ARC has 3different facilities all within a few blocks of each other.
Must be able to float between facilities if needed.QualificationsClinicians must be licensed or registered in the state in which they are applyingMust be licensed as ASW, AMFT, LMFT or LCSWTheTherapist must have at least one year in acute care or residential treatment or closely related experience.Must understand the therapeutic process, understand confidentiality laws, and have strong knowledge of professional ethicsMust be able to demonstrate leadership abilities, and be able to communicate with persons from all educational and cultural backgroundsMust demonstrate tact, initiative, resourcefulness, a professional manner, enthusiasm, and a non-judgmental attitudeAdditional InformationWe are proud to be an EEO employer M/F/D/V.
