Responsibilities
Under supervision, Staff Pharmacist Is perform a range of functions that include the preparation and dispensing of drugs in IVAS; ensures that the work is completed by the completion deadline; ensures that all activity in the IVAS hood area is consistent with sterile dose preparation policies and procedures; ensures that patients IV medications are prepared and dispensed accurately according to departmental policy and procedures, along with Federal and CA drug laws; evaluates orders/prescriptions and/or profiles for appropriateness; performs clinical activities of the practice area thoroughly, accurately and effectively.
Compliant with USP797 and USP800 standards as enforced by CA Board of Pharmacy and UCLA protocols.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
License: California Pharmacist
Degree: BS/Pharm.D.
degree from accredited School of Pharmacy
Experience: 1 yr hospital inpatient or residency
PREFERRED:
At least one applicable Pharmacy specialty board certification
Board Certified Sterile Compounding Pharmacist (BCSCP)
Other relevant Board certification, based on mutual agreement between the manager and the employee and alignment with assigned duties.
