California Licensed Emergency Medicine Physician Night Shift Per Diem-Tele911
Tele911 integrates telemedicine into the EMS system, enabling first responders to consult with emergency physicians to allow safe Treatment in Place for stable patients who call 911, avoiding medically unnecessary ambulance transport to crowded ERs.
Responsibilities
- Cover 8-hour night shifts
- On average 8 shifts per month
- Based on your availability and shift availability
- Perform telemedicine consultations with patients while paramedics are on the scene
- Conduct a complaint-specific medical history and telehealth examination assisted by paramedics on the scene
- Formulate a suitable treatment plan to address non-threatening conditions
- Ensure appropriate triage and transport decisions for emergent patients
- Accurately prescribe suitable medications to patients
- Maintain accurate medical records
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Board-Eligible or Board Certification by the American Board of Emergency Medicine
- Active medical license in good standing in California
- Exceptional communication skills
