– 1055 Saxon Blvd 1st Floor, Orange City, FL 32763 The role you”ll contribute: Performs the following clerical tasks and responsibilities specific to the Health Unit Coordinator in a safe, efficient, and competent manner under the general and direct supervision of the Professional Registered nurse/Licensed Practical nurse.
These clerical tasks include but are not limited to the following: Organizing and maintaining the medical record, maintenance of unit records, answering telephones, call lights, and visitor inquiries.
Functions as an active/engaged team member in the delivery of safe, competent, therapeutic, and cost effective patient care for the following patient populations: geriatric, adult, and adolescent.
Primary function is to assist with clerical duties.
Demonstrates effective use and support of AdventHealthq Standards of Performance within the clinical setting.
Responsible to adhere to Adventhealth”s Corporate Compliance standards, to the rules and regulations of all local, state, and federal agencies and to the standards of all accrediting bodies.

Operates/answers the telephone system effectively and professionally Monitors and maintains supplies and nourishments to meet the needs of the unit within the budgeted guidelines.
Keeps communication related to admissions, treatment, and discharges flowing between unit leadership and administrative supervisors.
Inspects Electronic Medical Record (PAL) throughout the shift to monitor for new orders to assist nurses with timely order review.
Demonstrates standard procedures for charge reconciliation and charge entry for equipment/supplies and outpatient charges.
Answers all inquiries according to facility release of information and policy and procedure.
Communicates effectively on telephone and in person.
QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you”ll need to succeed: Must be proficient in the English language High school graduate or equivalent.
Minimum one year clerical or office experience required or current CNA/Nursing Student with completion of one semester of Clinical(s).
Maintain current BLS/CPR certification Previous experience in a health care setting preferred.
