Health System Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment Project Director

Responsibilities

Under the generalsupervision of the Ambulatory Chief Nursing Officer, UCLA Health System, the Sexual Violence Sexual Harassment (SVSH) ProjectDirector will be responsible for oversight of the SVSH Initiative for UCLAHealth Entities and for leading cultural transformation related to SVSH, aswork to establish new cultural norms. The Health System SVSH Project Directoris responsible for managing, facilitating, guiding and supporting Health SystemSVSH improvement projects and managing and analytical support for ongoingprojects and analyses. Uses knowledge of Lean techniques and other operationalimprovement methodologies/tools to identify opportunities for improvement.

Responsible to ensure all University of CaliforniaSpecial Report Committee’s recommendations are acted upon and enculturated. Accountablefor project management, complex analyses, and development of organizationalpolicies, procedures, practices, and cost-benefit studies related to SVSH. Also,developing and facilitating health system SVSH improvement projects andtracking progress of SVSH across the Health System to achieve departmental andsystem goals. Improvement and analytical initiatives will be defined by HealthSystem SVSH Project Director.

Major duties include performance improvementdirecting, managing statistics and reports, developing standard work andfacilitating improvement teams.

Qualifications

  • Master’s, MSN/MHA/MPH/ MBA –Required
  • 3 – 5 years in health care – Required
  • Prior knowledge of Sexual Violence Sexual Harassment prevention – Preferred
  • Advanced project management skills including Process Management, Project Initiation, Project Planning, Critical Thinking and Organizing.
  • Demonstrates a leadership style that builds and maintains a climate of trust and inspires commitment from others to achieve organizational goals
  • Ability to recognize and deal appropriately with sensitive and confidential issues.
  • Skill in analyzing information and making recommendations.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and organizational skills to interact courteously and effectively with physicians, university officials, patients, and staff members.
  • Excellent typing and computer skills and knowledge of a variety of software programs, including advanced Microsoft Office, databases such as Access, IBM compatible software and applications, network applications and EMPAC system, on-line processing and Web page updating.
  • Ability to speak on a one-to-one and group basis using appropriate vocabulary and grammar to transmit and obtain information in both formal and informal setting
  • Writing and editing skills to prepare grammatically routine business correspondence such as informal letters, memoranda, and notification letters.
  • Skill establishing priorities to complete work in a timely manner despite changes in workload or assignment, pressure of deadlines, or competing requirements.
  • Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal or no supervision.
