Job Responsibilities: Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including customer service, patience, empathy, and compassion.
Performs all tasks in accordance with laboratory procedures and policies.
Collects & log-in samples per Nasal swab collection procedure.
Work effectively during site visits to identify patients, collect samples, labels samples, and store samples for as many people as are available.
Enter all data in database.
Labels each specimen completely, accurately, and legibly, such that the Accessioning Department can read everything on the label.
Put on (don) and remove (doff) personal protective equipment (PPE) per company protocol to provide training resource as needed.) Packages specimens as required by protocol to maintain specimen integrity for transport to the laboratory.
Maintains appropriate inventory levels to ensure that specimens can be collected as required, all clerical duties can be performed, and the collection site can be kept clean.
Follows compliance guidelines to meet HIPAA and OSHA standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED & Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy experience or Certification OR Degree in the Sciences Strong Attention to detail Good patient communication skills About Actalent: Actalent connects passion with purpose.
