Full-time position is available. Position is responsible for providing outreach to Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Queer/Questioning Intersex and 2-Spirit (LGBTQI2S) Transition Age Youth (TAY) and health education related to life issues relevant to this population. Applicant should have knowledge and experience with Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Queer/Questioning Intersex and 2-Spirit (LGBTQI2S)-specific life issues relevant to Transition Age Youth (TAY), including the coming out process, stigma and discrimination. The ideal candidate will function as a role model and serve as a consumer advocate, providing information, referrals, and support to LBGTQI2-S TAY and their families/ caregivers. Specific duties will include conducting community presentations, providing outreach and engagement, and facilitating support groups. This position requires local travel, setting/adhering to own schedule and independent decision-making regarding patient recruitment and provision of services. A BA/BS degree in health or human/social service-related field or equivalent work experience as well as a minimum of one-year experience working with LGBTQI2S TAY or other youth is preferred, but not required.
