Amgens 10 12 week internship program offers meaningful project experiences that impact patients lives.
This internship provides the opportunity for executive and social networking events while providing a competitive compensation.
The clinical pharmacology, modeling and simulation department at Amgen is a multidisciplinary group working across multiple stages of drug development.
The selected candidate will develop a new machine learning (ML) based method to evaluate causal exposure-response (E-R) relationships for efficacy and/or safety.
It would reduce the chance of misinterpretation of the E-R relationships and provide better decision making in dose selection.

The hardworking and driven individual we seek is a standout colleague with these qualifications: Basic Qualifications Amgen requires that all individuals applying for a grad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria: 18 years or older Graduated with a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent Currently enrolled in an MBA program for an MBA internship OR a Masters program for a Masters internship OR a PharmD program for a PharmD internship OR Ph.D.
for a PhD internship from an accredited college or university and completion of the first year of MBA OR Masters OR Pharm D OR Ph.D.
program before the internship starts Enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship or co-op assignment Must not be employed at the time the internship starts Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship Preferred Qualifications Currently pursuing PhD in Data Science, Computer science, Engineering, Statistics, or related field Basic understanding of causal inference and ODE based modeling for longitudinal data Proficiency in languages for machine learning and statistics software (e.g., Python, R) Curiosity about analyzing exposure-response data from causal inference perspective with sophisticated machine learning and/or statistical methodologies Intellectual curiosity with the ability to rapidly learn new concepts, algorithms, and technologies Strong organizational, project management, problem solving, analytical and quantitative skills Experience with manipulation, interpretation, and innovative analysis (e.g.
