Field Medical Science Liaison

Ashfield Engage has a long-standing partnership with Genentech a leading Biotechnology company, across Commercial, Patient Solutions and Medical Affairs businesses.

The Therapeutic Area Medical Science Liaison (TA MSL) is a credible scientific partner responsible for providing clinical and health economic information related to disease states and the appropriate utilization of client medicines (approved and pipeline).

This field-based position will engage with healthcare providers, population health decision makers, and patients within their region(s), to further patient outcomes aligned with the overarching client’ objectives.

In collaboration with their regional partners, TA MSL Is accountable for co-creating the local medical strategy and delivering for their customers.

In addition, TA MSL may be responsible for covering multiple medicines, as well as engaging in broad scientific discussions around patient outcomes and total cost of care, resulting in rich customer insights shared with key stakeholders across the organization.

Leads efforts in recognizing, identifying, cultivating, and establishing KOL relationships in specific therapeutic areas of interest.

Identifies opportunities for scientific growth and generation of medical evidence in support of appropriate utilization of therapies.Identifies, develops and manages KOL relationships on a continuum of advocacy in support of company objectives and enhancing the company’s reputation as a scientifically-innovative industry partner.Acquires and maintains a level of scientific knowledge in an assigned therapeutic area(s) and/or disease state(s) involving clinical issues; able to interpret and disseminate pertinent scientific/ clinical data and evaluates current and new information as it applies to therapies.Tactical delivery of programs according to established objectives and serves as a resource for education and dissemination of pertinent, clear, and balanced scientific information to internal and external audiences (KOLs, healthcare professionals, investigators, payors, formulary committees, and similar entities)What do you need for this position?

Must be able to provide proof of vaccination upon offer acceptanceAdvanced Clinical/Science Degree required (e.g., MD, PharmD, PhD, MSN, NP, PA etc.).

BSN with extensive clinical experience may be considered.Minimum of 5 years related work experience (clinical, managed care, or industry experience)Prior experience as a field medical science liaison is preferred2 or more years’ clinical or health2 years’ experience in neurology is preferredAbility to learn other disease or product areas as business needs and product life cycles changeGCP (Good Clinical Practice) and ICH (International Conference on Harmonization of Technical Requirements for Registration of Pharmaceuticals for Human Use) proficientOutstanding organizational and time management skills; proven abilities to manage multiple, often complex and sometimes competing, objectives, goals and other priorities to effective and efficient conclusionStrong attention-to-detailExcellent communication and collaboration skills; exhibits professional maturity, confidence, and competence.
