Gage Avenue, Bell, CA 90201 nn n nn nn Position Summary nn nnNECC has been providing primary and preventative healthcare services since 1971 to the low-income, uninsured, and underserved residents of Los Angeles County, regardless of financial status.
The Family Practice Physician is a member of the interdisciplinary health care team which functions to meet the objectives of the programs in Northeast Community Clinic.
The Family Practice Physician will be responsible for providing complete clinical care for all patients under the direction of the Medical Director and by written protocols.
Family Practice Physician works in conjunction with the Medical Director in implementing and maintaining quality care programs.nn nn n nn nn Primary Duties and Responsibilities nn Obtain medical, social and developmental histories.
Perform physical exams and immunizations on all patients.
Initiate laboratory exams and studies as indicated.
Provide health education and counseling.
Completion of all relevant forms including appropriate disability, work restrictions, health status forms, etc.
Management of all acute and chronic illnesses to and above community standards at all times.
Consult with and Refer to appropriate specialist in regards to high risk or complex patients.
Management of services in accordance with established Northeast Community Clinic”s policies/procedures and contracted services under CHDP, Managed Medical Care and other medical programs and guidelines.
Exercise judgment in establishing priorities of medical care in triage situations.
Participation in Northeast Community Clinic”s Continuing Quality Improvement (CQI) program.
Provide case management with other health care team members.
Provide consultations to other Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Medical Assistant Maintain a positive working relationship with staff.
Other duties as designated by the Medical Director or Executive Director.
