Overview:Enjoy listening to podcasts and audiobooks but can never quite find the time to finish them?As the Traveling Medical Office Assistant, the stations will keep you company while you redefine the meaning of ‘road warrior’ as you cover offices in the greater Los Angeles County area, Antelope Valley, Santa Barbara and Santa Maria areas, as well as other cities when needed(with mileages reimbursed, of course!).
Our driven and motivated assistant will be onboard full time, working different weekly schedules (depending on the clinic) and help prepare examination rooms, cover front desk and assist physicians as needed.
When you’re not in the office, this position will be remote.So get your playlist ready and apply at this very moment!Responsibilities:DUTIES:Routes examinee to exam room, vitals room and/or x-ray room as needed.Review chart and verifies examinee information is available for examining physician.When necessary, chaperones examinations with female examinees or as requested by physician.Responsible for set-up, maintenance, and cleanliness of exam rooms.
Reports any issues or maintenance needs to management.Maintains a smooth flow of examinations to ensure appointments are kept on schedule.Secures patient information and maintains patient confidentiality by completing and safeguarding medical records.Ensures all practices are carried out in accordance with state and federal safety and legal regulations.Performs clerical duties such as typing, filing, emailing, and proofreading as required.Uploads medical records from Records Dept.
and also pull records from client sites to upload into our system.Qualifications:REQUIREMENTS:Ability to travel to different offices.Medical Assistant Certification is preferred.Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.High school diploma or equivalent required.A minimum of 1-2 years on the job experience in a medical office or related field preferred.Must have adequate knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, medications and laboratory values.Must possess complete knowledge of general computer, fax, copier, scanner, and telephone.Must be knowledgeable of multiple software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and the Internet.Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
