As a full time, exempt CPS Solutions, LLC Director of Pharmacy at East Los Angeles Doctors Hospital and Community Hospital of Huntington Park, you will oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs with assistance from a full support team.
Schedule: This position works at least 40 hours per week primarily Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm; however, may include providing occasional coverage on evenings or weekends as business needs arise.
Pay Range: $175K-$200K based on qualifications.
About the Facility: Licensed for 127 beds, ELADH provides a wide range of services, both on an inpatient and outpatient basis. Its inpatient services include Obstetrics, Pediatrics Medical/Surgical, Intensive and Coronary Care, and Sub-acute Care. Outpatient services include 24-hour Emergency Services, Laboratory, Diagnostic Imaging, Cardiopulmonary Medicine, and Rehabilitation Services. Community Hospital of Huntington Park is an 81-bed acute care hospital, accredited by the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program, that offers a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic services. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day-to-day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.
About the Pharmacy: This centralized pharmacy utilizes MedSelect automation and the Paragon pharmacy system. Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday from 7:00am-9:00pm and weekends from 7:30am-4:00pm.
Required Qualifications:
- BS or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy
- Current California Pharmacist license in good standing
- Management experience in a healthcare/hospital environment.
- Successful completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency program strongly preferred
- Ability to solve problems, establish trust and credibility.
- Demonstrated teaching, relevant professional publications and involvement with Professional organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, respond to client concerns and work cooperatively with other staff.
Hospital Requirements:
- (PPD) TB Skin Test – Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
- (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Tdap or declination
- HepB or declination
- Varicella – (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1 st -April 30 th
- Respirator FIT Mask Test
- Physical examination by the hospital
- Covid-Full Vaccine (required)
