Illumination Foundation (IF) is a growing non-profit organization dedicated towards disrupting the cycle of homelessness by providing targeted, interdisciplinary services in our recuperative care centers, emergency shelters, housing services and children’s and family programs. IF currently has 13+ facilities with 22+ micro-communities scattered across Orange County, Los Angeles County and the Inland Empire.
Job Description:
The Director of Health Care Services (RN) will provide leadership and be responsible for the growth and development of all healthcare programs in our Recuperative Care Centers. Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Healthcare Services, this position will collaborate with leaders and clinicians of Illumination Foundation to develop, implement, and evaluate initiatives to achieve organizational goals, improve the skills of our medical professionals, expand primary care services, and provide clients with high quality and cost effective care. This is not a remote position and requires being on site. This position will be providing oversight for our locations in LA, OC, and IE, with majority of time spent in LA.
This position is eligible for a $2,000 sign-on bonus ($1,000 at 3 months of employment and $1,000 at 6 months of employment).
Job Requirements:
- Serve as a key member of the Illumination Foundation team by developing and implementing new policies and programs, guiding plans for programmatic expansion through community and hospital outreach, and monitoring operational compliance concerning licensure and accreditation to the standards of State and Federal improvement/assurance requirements.
- Collaboratively lead initiatives to improve client safety, quality, infection control, risk management and client satisfaction.
- Provide comprehensive case management, resource referrals, and comprehensive health care to Illumination Foundation clients. Participate in system-wide initiatives, including, but not limited to: improving access and flow, enhancing client and family experience, and improving data collection and billing processes.
- Set and meet budgetary goals related to private, public and grant-funded programs; determine resources and activities needed to achieve organizational goals and make recommendations as needed.
- Build education and competency training and development program for staff.
- Collaborate with the administrative team to develop systems that facilitate an efficient and comprehensive care environment for clients and staff.
- Serve as a primary clinical contact with community partners by building partnerships with nursing schools and other healthcare-related academic institutions to advance IF’s mission and improve client care and care coordination.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid California license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Furnishing number from the State of California, Board of Registered Nursing.
- Master’s degree
- 2- 5 years (minimum) relevant management experience in Healthcare Administration.
- Knowledge of the nature and causes of homelessness
- Strong self-management skills.
- Current valid CA driver’s license, Have a dependable vehicle with automobile insurance.
- Ability to travel locally and to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Computer literate; proficiency with MS Access, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to use Google products.
