Director, Community Health Programs

Summary of Essential Job Duties: 
The Director leads community health in-the-field programs across Cedars-Sinai.

Responsible for the long-term planning and transition of these programs to focus on capacity building as well as their ability to deliver both output and outcomes-based results.

Alignment and partnership internally with other Community Engagement and Cedars Sinai health education and screening programs, as well as establishing and maintaining community-based relationships are cornerstones of this role.

•Directs in-the-field community health programs across Cedars-Sinai.

This includes multiple programs such as a mobile pediatric medical unit to physical and mental health programs in the Los Angeles Unified School District to community health improvement programs and initiatives spanning across various patient populations.

• Directs strategic planning and program design through implementation and evaluation.

Leads evaluation efforts for Cedars-Sinai’s in-the-field community health programs.

• Leverages community health programs’ ability to analyze and use community benefit data, implementing dashboarding, enhanced reporting, planning and accountability for all in-the-field community health programs.

• Ensures systems are in place to meet community health regulatory demands.

• Identifies, establishes, and develops partnerships internally and externally to support Cedars-Sinai’s community health mission and in alignment with other identified organizational stakeholders.

• Manages a team of leaders who supervise day-to-day efforts in the field.

• Develops and executes mid
– and long-term strategies for the capacity building nature of Cedars-Sinai’s in-the-field community health programs.

• Serves in a leadership position for internal and external resources and as a driver of coalition work in community health focused on building culture and fostering partnerships that lead to improved outcomes.

• Creates alignment between operational realities, strategic initiatives and community opportunities.

Educational Requirements: 
Minimum bachelors degree in Public Health, Health Administration or a related field.

Masters degree in Public Health, Health Administration or a related field is preferred.

License/Certification/Registration Requirements:
No license is required.

Experience :
Minimum 10 years of experience in community health, public health, nonprofit, healthcare, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of progressive management and leadership experience.
