What we are looking for
UEM is seeking to hire a dental professional (RDH, RDHAP, DDS) to support one of the teams we manage in Los Angeles which provides free oral health education and free non-invasive dental screenings to children and families. This is a remote position, however, the position requires you to live in the Los Angeles area to be able to work on the van and you will need to have a quiet location in your home to conduct your daily activities to include but not limited to video meetings, planning and coordinating virtual & face to face oral health presentations to schools, community organization and at events. You must be above average comfortable with working on the computer, MS office suite, creating reports, data entry and attending workshops, conventions to promote the program and recruit volunteers and other community or dental organizations to extend the reach of the program. This position works best with someone who has a passion for public health, building community through providing the best in class information to underserved communities. You will be working on our client’s project named Colgate’s Bright Smiles, Bright Futures program which is Colgate Palmolive’s Corporate community outreach initiative, placing efforts in improving the oral health and overall health and wellbeing of underserved Children, aged 12 and under. The mission of the program is to empower children and their families through oral health education, dental screening, and referrals.
This full-time position requires:
- Non-invasive screening for children on our Dental van (no cleaning, treatments etc).
- Canidate must live in Los Angeles area
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills to work with internal team members and maintain long-term relationships with community partners and volunteers.
- High aptitude for looking at problems/challenges as opportunities, then working with your team and others to create unique solutions to solve them and move forward
- Ability to juggle multiple, demanding tasks simultaneously and with accuracy
- Ability to collaborate with other cross functional teams &/or agencies to create a positive company-wide team effort for national program overlays &/or message points at retail accounts or in the field
- Ability to manage expectations, feedback and accountability with client leadership and other partner agencies
- Mandatory travel domestically with some overnight travel to states assigned to the Los Angeles team, this will include some weekends and holidays that coincide with community and retail events to be planned and coordinated with local team and leadership.
- Spanish Speakers preferred
