DBT Therapist

DBT Therapist Intern: Licensed or Unlicensed

Summary: Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, the DBT Therapist is ultimately responsible for providing individual and group therapy to patients with a primary diagnosis of chemical dependency.

Job Details

The DBT Therapist role is a part-time position which will lead DBT groups and provide some individual therapy with completion of notes in a timely fashion The entirety of this work will not require participation in any additional duties outside of delivery of individual and group therapy.

Job Duties

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled clinician with experience providing therapy services to individuals, families, and groups.

Previous experience providing DBT services is preferred but not required.

At this time, responsibilities entail:
Provide individual DBT-based treatment services to clients with a variety of diagnoses, including Borderline Personality Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, depression, and anxiety.
Co-lead DBT skills training groups to clients in our Intensive Outpatient Program and Residential Program.

Engage in all practice-wide professional development trainings to further develop or strengthen clinical skills and DBT knowledge.
Participate in weekly case consultation meetings with the entire clinical team.
Maintain appropriate documentation for all individual, group, and training sessions.
Job Requirements
Master’s Degree
CPR Certification
Registered in the state of California as an MFTi or ACSW
Legal documentation of the ability to work in the state of California
Required experience:
1 Year of counseling or group facilitating experience in the Substance Abuse/Mental Health Field
DBT, CSAT, or other sub-specialty training preferred

Pay: $50.00
– $125.00 per hour
