Overview: Atlantic Health System is seekinga Per Diem Critical Care Air/Ground Transport Nurse for Atlantic Ambulance.
Responsibilities: Essential Job Functions: The Critical Care Transport (Air/Ground) Nurse is responsible for assessing, coordinating, and delivering care during the emergency treatment and critical care transport of patients either from the scene or from one facility to another.

Appreciate the high visibility of this position as it relates to sending and receiving facility personnel, Law Enforcement, EMS, and Fire Department personnel, patients, patient’s family members, and members of the community.Represents the Critical Care Transport Team, Atlantic Mobile Health (AMH), and Atlantic Health System (AHS) with the highest level of professionalism.Works collaboratively with all critical care transport team members, delegates appropriately, and provides feedback to team members.Anticipates, manages, and resolves problems associated with changing situations in a highly autonomous care environment.Interacts effectively and efficiently with medical team members, transferring facility, and on-scene healthcare providers.Completes operational readiness tasks on everyshift, including equipment checks and safety briefs.Exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others and maintains constructive working relationships.Participates in regular team meetings and calls.Responsible for compliance and accountability with AHS/AMH policies, including maintaining and providing copies of all certifications to the administration on time.
Serves as an ambassador of AHS/ AMH.Possesses excellence in documented performance appraisals.
Candidate must adhere to Critical Care Transport (Air/Ground) team value of being Competent:Attends all required mandatory education, including annual competencies, AMRM, quarterly airway training, new procedure/equipment in-services, and other identified education.
Demonstrates proficiency at annual competencies in job-specific skills such as, but not limited to: ventilator management, both invasive and noninvasive, endotracheal intubation, management of an intra-aortic balloon pump, management of invasive hemodynamic monitoring devices, BabyPod/isolettes, ACLS and PALS management.Must be able to operate independently and effectively deliver advanced life support interventions appropriately and as necessary.
This includes our neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations.
Documents accurately and completely all patient assessments and patient care utilizing the appropriate electronic charting program; complete documentation following AMH policy and OEMS regulations around completeness and timing.
Participates in Quality Improvement initiatives as assigned.
Performs continuous evaluation of personal education and the pursuit of relevant continuing education.
Possesses superior clinical abilities and judgment –and demonstrates a continual reassessment of work/patient care environment for safety and appropriateness; adapt to those environments.

Qualifications: Relevant Experience:Minimum of 5 years full-time Critical Care experience (RN – ICU, ED, CCU)License:Valid driver’s license with excellent driving record Required Certifications (Instructor credentials preferred):CPR/BLSACLSPALS PHTLS NJ RN licensure (BSN preferred) & NJ MICN certification PA RN licensure & PA PHRNCFRN certification preferred; required within one year of hire Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred; required within six months of hire About Us: Atlantic Health System aims to deliver the highest quality, safety and care combined with the best experience for our patients and their families.
