The Clinical Surveillance Team (CST) is responsible for managing pre-emergent/emergent clinical deterioration of adult non-ICU patients. The CST nurse is actively and independently detecting and managing patients in a state of clinical deterioration for the purpose of rapid prevention and treatment of further deterioration. These include but not limited to sepsis, CVA, respiratory and cardiac decompensating patients. The CST nurse will monitor, assess, and round on patients utilizing predictive modelling tools in collaboration with the bedside clinical team. They are responsible for recognizing, assessing, coordinating, interpreting clinical surveillance data, re-evaluating the nursing care plan of patients and communicating that plan to the assigned team members. They will also perform administrative coordination of the Clinical Surveillance Program and Medical Emergency Team (MET).

BLS and ACLS, required
CCRN, Preferred
BSN or MSN, required
3 years of recent critical care experience as an RN, required
Previous Charge RN experience, required
